Our trust was made as per the will of (Late) R. B. Sheth Curumsey Damjee made in 1915. We earlier had a Sanatorium in Bombay (Present day Mumbai) at Girgaum Chowpatty opposite the Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan which was made for the benefit of the people. However at the time the sanatorium was made the location was outside the main town and was a good place to go to for a change of air. With passage of time the city grew and Chowpatty became a part of the city. It made no sense to have a sanatorium in the heart of the city so it was closed down in the 70's. In 1986 the trust started a Sanatorium in Matheran by buying an old heritage bungalow and making it into 3 units. With the passage of time the trust has acquired another old heritage bungalow and made two more bungalows. In all today there are 10 units in the sanatorium. The trust is run as per the current scheme made in 1976.
